eerste Cochrane Diagnostische Review
Test accuracy considers the question “How well does a test correctly identify people with a particular disease and exclude people without that disease?” and is estimated by assessing the agreement of results of a test with those of a reference standard. Cochrane Reviews of Diagnostic Test Accuracy have many similarities with Cochrane Reviews of Interventions. They aim to be comprehensive in identifying literature, they very carefully assess the quality of the research, and they use validated statistical methods to synthesise results – but the technical details as to how this is done differ due to differences in the indexing, design, execution and analysis of test accuracy studies.
