La Collaboration Cochrane (CC) est une organisation internationale sans but lucratif qui soutient des cliniciens et des scientifiques – volontaires et bénévoles – dans la réalisation, l’actualisation et la diffusion de Systematic Reviews (définition dans le paragraphe suivant). En 2006, la Cochrane Library , dans sa « Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews »

contenait environ 2500 Systematic Reviews (SR).

Le site web des patients mérite notre attention. Ce site en Anglais (Cochrane Consumer Network) permet aux patients de prendre connaissance des SR en termes compréhensibles.

Le CEBAM (Centre pour l’Evidence-Based Medicine), qui est la branche belge de la CC, a entre autres pour tâche d’encourager l’utilisation, voire la rédaction, des SR.

Funding and Support

The Belgian Branch of the Dutch Cochrane Centre receives its funding from the Belgian Ministry of Health. Our activities, as outlined in an activity plan, are approved by a guidande committee and are reported to the Committe once a year. Our host, the Department of General Practice of the Catholic University of Leuven kindly provides support in terms of office space, IT support, etc...
